Event Description

Building on the success of last year’s packed house event at Cecil Sharp House, the London Permaculture Network’s festival team for 2011 are planning an even better mix of expert talks, interactive workshops, open space sessions, inspiring films, practical demonstrations, acoustic music, networking and superb local food.  The programme this year will be divided loosely around the themes of EarthCare, PeopleCare and FairShares, covering a diverse range of topics and issues relevant to creatively building a sustainable future for all, including: Natural beekeeping, Sociocracy, Community Scale Infrastructure, Systems Thinking in Action, the Work that Reconnects, Permaculture Association’s Future(s) project, Robert Hart’s forest gardening legacy and Vertical Veg’s Mark Ridsdill Smith and many more, as well as what you would expect from a Permaculture event, such as Dr Bike,  tree planting, and Permaculture Magazine’s comprehensive eco- book stall .

The London Permaculture Festival is a non-profit grassroots event organized solely by volunteers- aiming to unite green London and create a positive critical mass of awareness around DIY culture, reshaping & reconnecting our capital city in this time of resurgence. If you’re interested in offering your services or helping out on the day please email us at info@LondonPermaculture.com, and for more information check out our website www.LondonPermaculture.com
