The European Business Awards for the Environment (EBAE) is a prestigious awards scheme with its historical roots firmly entrenched in the RSA. It recognises innovation, ambition and drive within the field of the environment and sustainable development.
The RSA Environment Awards Forum has managed the process (on behalf of DEFRA) by which UK entrants can enter for these awards via its Accreditation Scheme, for the past ten years. In every year since taking over, the UK has had at least one winner, which is a great achievement considering 27 European states enter up to 12 entries each and there are only 4 awards made!
The EBAE are bi-annual awards with the final winners announced in Brussels in June 2010. Before this time, the RSA likes to take the opportunity to celebrate all the UK Finalists, the Accredited Schemes, and the Judges for all of their hard work in making the UK submissions as robust as possible. It is also an opportunity to promote the amazing innovation and commitment of businesses and individuals to help address environmental and sustainable development issues.
If you have a particular interest in these matters and might like to explore opportunities of engaging with the RSA Forum, I hope you can join us at this celebratory event when Dan Norris, Minister for Rural Affairs and the Environment will be presenting certificates to each of the 11 finalists and leading us in a general celebration.
Awards Ceremony - 4pm - 6pm
Drinks and Canapes from 6pm
To attend, you must RSVP to Rebecca.daddow@rsa.org.uk. A confirmation email will be sent to you. Entry will not be permitted without this.
