Event Description

Can culture, in all its forms, helps us to understand better Scotland's place in the world?  A panel of commentators and experts will explore these issues in a highly interactive discussion.

 

The panel includes:

  • Matthew Taylor, Chief Executive of the RSA;
  • Mark O'Neill, Director of Policy, Research and Development at Glasgow Life;
  • Professor Neil Blaine, Head of Film, Media and Journalism at Stirling Univeristy;
  • David Greig, Playwright

and will be Chaired by Jan MacDonald, Professor Emeritus of the University of Glasgow.

 

Tickets and further information can be obtained from the Festival of Politics website (www.festivalofpolitics.org.uk).  This is a free event.

 

This event is in association with the British Council, the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities, the RSA, the Royal Society of Edinburgh and the UNESCO UKNC Scotland Committee.
