RSA Fellowship Social Network

Social Network for RSA Fellows

Fellowship Council 7 October - Summary of Session 1

Summary of the first session of Fellowship Council and an visual image of the meeting are attached here.

Council members were tasked with:
• identifying practical ways of embedding a culture of collaboration, creativity and social ambition in the Fellowship
• encouraging Fellows to pledge outlined as part of the Fellowship Exhibition (and to provide feedback themselves)
• supporting the refinement of the Fellowship Charter and being clear about how the principles of the Charter can best be implemented – how can Council members embed and embody the Charter?
• talking to Fellows, local networks and communities. Working with and providing feedback to the Fellowship Networks team understanding RSA Projects and activities

What are your thoughts? How can Council members achieve their objectives?

Ooh I love Dan's pictures of the meeting! Such a great way to remember what was spoken about.

I'm interested in hearing how Council members can help raise awareness of the Charter Exhibition and get as many Fellows as possible thinking about what this means for the future of Fellowship, and leaving pledges online

Can you tap into your Fellowship networks? Do you attend Fellowship events you can mention it at?
Any questions, give me a shout!

Thanks very much for posting this Viv - I agree with Laura Billings- the drawings are brilliant!

On this site and elsewhere there is a real sense that Fellows, and also the RSA, are really enthusiastic about action. Your first point 'identifying practical ways of embedding a culture of collaboration, creativity and social ambition in the Fellowship' is so important and I wonder if we could start looking at ways/processes/ideas to do that in a very pro-active way?

- How can Fellows support existing RSA projects?
- How can RSA support existing Fellow's projects?
- Could we develop a new opportunity, an experiment, to co-design a completely fresh project between RSA and Fellows?

We have such big ambitions, but in my view we need to find ways to deconstruct the vision into small active steps, and to structure the Fellowship Council in way that stimulates ongoing activity throughout the Fellowship?
