About The Big Lunch

Tim Smit is an RSA Fellow and Director of the Eden Project. Last year the Eden Project launched The Big Lunch, a project designed to encourage people to organise or attend a lunch in their local neighbourhood. The project makes it very easy to participate:

- They have set up a date - this year Sunday 18th July
- You enter your postcode on their website to see if anyone is already organising one in your area
- You can join and existing lunch or start your own
- The website also includes a downloadable kit to help promote your lunch, including posters, leaflets and checklists

It is a fantastic project, and one that many Fellows would like to support, encourage or participate in!

As president of Leicester Secular Society and, this year, chaplain to the Lord Mayor of Leicester, I hope to encourage use of The Big Lunch as a way of getting people in together.

HI Jonathan - yes The Big Lunch have a whole location system on their website to find a local one - and to set up your own :)

Hallo Jonathan - Brighton and Hove and Kent are each organising their own events for Fellows locally. Would you like to get involved in any way?

Sounds like a great idea, are we doing some kind of co-ordinated effort amongst ourselves, or is it going to just be self-organising ourselves through their site?

Review of RSA Fellowship nings, social networks

Over the next few months the RSAde Group will be consolidating regional social networks and nings.

The aim will be to improve connectivity for Fellows, improve communication and reduce fragmentation.

If you would like further information on these changes please contact the RSAde team via the Digital Engagement group on this network.

Leading Change

With many of us facing an ever greater pace of change in our personal and working lives, leadership adviser and educator Richard Gerver reveals how to adapt and thrive - not to fear change but to see it as an opportunity for creative reinvention

From the digital divide to inclusive innovation: the case of digital money

To mark the launch of a new RSA pamphlet, we bring together an expert panel to discuss the growing use of digital money worldwide, highlight its potential and consider the issues that will facilitate or hamper its reach.
