Social Network for RSA Fellows

Picking up the idea that we'd like more business-oriented speakers at the RSA, and aware that many speakers have just published a book, I thought I'd do a quick bit of research into books due out soon, on business themes, to see if these are the kind that members of this gorup would like to see at the RSA.

Any thoughts?

Cheers, Graham

Any or all of these look to be interesting candidates to relaunch the "Manufactures and Commerce" stream. I look forwards to returning to RSA lectures ( after 5.30pm please - some of us have a day job!)

Seth Godin. His ideas on marketing apply to both business & projects and many other spheres. He is currently working hard on the book industry; changes to it by e-readers and how this impacts the spread of ideas.

Oh, and I second the sensible timing of lectures!

Hello Alastair

Thanks for the idea and for joining the group.  The Fellows in Business is in its fledgling state but let's see where we can take it.

Yes, Seth Godin is certainly one of the movers and shapers.  I believe his usual fees are rather high, but maybe we can find a way... let's keep our thinking hats on.

Best wishes, Graham

I would have thought that Prof Kay's recent report into The City and how it should be improved would be ideal for the RSA Business Stream  lectures. Come to think of it I am sure he has spoken before.

A hot topic with very wide appeal

Thanks Peter

Hopefully the people at JAS are monitoring this thread and will pick this up.  If not, perhaps your agent/publisher will want to do so.

Best wishes

Graham
