hi Caroline

I've been involved in social franchising and replication for about 12 years now, from manging indiviual licenses to supporting national programmes; I've also written a paper on the subject as part of my accredited advanced diploma in business support and done a few 'lighter' pieces on my blog - would be happy to share some stories and pointers with you.

Hi Caroline,
I hope this helps: put social franchising into your search engine (Google) and you get a wealth of info.

Does anyone out there know about how to franchise an educational product or know of a good web site for practical advice? Greentop Circus in Sheffield anticipates selling it to the voluntary and community sector. We would be grateful for some help.

For those Fellows in and around London I thought it's just worth reiterating Sarah's comment below to say that tomorrow morning is the first monthly meet-up in the Gerard bar. The session will be an opportunity for Fellows to chip in on one another's project ideas. Three of those coming along have fresh new project ideas on which they are looking for input (see Ben's discussion above for one of them, another is a project to help young people benefit from market research they take part in and another is to build a cross-ngo awareness-raising campaign for the economic benefits of rainforest protection). Others are coming along - kindly willing to lend their expertise to these and other interesting projects-in-the-making. We'll all be down the Gerard bar between 9-11.

For those Fellows not in London, I can only point to this resource, built to help transfer this Fellow-led network to other areas.

Emmaus looks a really good example - thanks for highlighting them . Just on another topic - which was triggered by an earlier exchange - I have an introduction to the person on the tax side of the Treasury who deals with charities and social enterprises - I am happy to see them and find out the latest position on this re social enterprises if anyone would find that helpful . Do we have specific issues or questions ?
