The first meeting of the Fellowship Council - a few more thoughts

Sorry, this is a bit late in the day to this ning (see the discussion I started on RSA Linked In on "why so many websites" for my excuses for not knowing what was going on here).Anyway ...I am posting this on behalf of Jemima Gibbons, Lopa Patel and myself. As the elected Council members for the London Region we all felt that we should try to report back to the region (so I have posted on the London City Networking ning) and add our views to the general fellowship discussion here.Jemima blogged…See More

You flatterer Jonathan! Shall do my best and if ever you want someone to run on a session on "Ning failure" or words to that effect, give me a shout. An excellent presentation on GoF was given at the London City networking session last night by the way, as you have no doubt heard!

Yes, I can see the problem, as Alan Lakein said, 'time is life, master your time and you master your life - waste your time and you waste your life'. Well, that's all well and good if you have the time, but since I know you don't I have had a think about some time-neutral things you (and anyone else) can do:

1. Display our Glory of Failure campaign logo on your site:

N.B. you can add the logo to your e-mail signature, share with friends and if you need to present something and it can be mentioned, do, and get in contact re the vector graphics version that can be blown up in full quality to the size of a zeppelin or beyond with no loss of quality.

We call this 'the measles campaign'!

2 You can sponsor us on the Fellowship Council, the London Region Committee and other groups you go, advocating for us actively or just dropping the name in when it suits

3 You can go into the Glory of Failure group, and then invite all your friends using the automatic 'add friends' tool in ning. Add a message saying how valuable you think this work is.

4 Encourage key people you might know who might do blogging, other social media activities like Twitter, etc. to promote the Glory of Failure work through their efforts to help raise the profile.

5 Anyone you meet or hear about who might be interested, send them my way and I'll find a role for them no matter how much time they have or whatever their field of interest or accomplishment.

Thanks Jackie - you are a power player within the RSA and your support means a lot to us on the ground,

Take care,

Jonathan

Hi Jackie

As requested I have deleted (actually banned) your other profile so you should just have this one. It may take a while to work through. Any problems give me a call on 0797 0772439 but hopefully you are sorted.
