Profile information
Terry Grundy is Community Impact Director at United Way of Greater Cincinnati and Adjunct Associate Professor of Community Planning in the School of Planning at the University of Cincinnati. In addition, he is a faculty member of the Asset-Based Community Development Institute at Northwestern University.

Grundy is founder of The Urbanists, a movement that advocates for an asset-based approach to the revitalization of historic American cities so they will again be the preferred places to live for the country’s most educated and productive people. In recognition of that effort, he has been named Resident Urbanist at the Niehoff Urban Studio at the University of Cincinnati. Grundy also is co-founder of The Community Building Institute, the Greater Cincinnati Microenterprise Initiative, the Community Research Collaborative, and Cincinnati’s comprehensive community development initiative called Place Matters.

Grundy is a member of the English Speaking Unions of the Commonwealth and the U.S., having served as president of the Cincinnati Branch of the ESU, and is a member of the Royal Over-Seas League of London and Edinburgh.

Terry Grundy lives in Cincinnati, Ohio, with his wife Jodine Grantham Grundy, a psychotherapist, life & leadership coach, and political activist.
