My experience of the education sector is limited to my time as a customer in my youth and as a classroom Teaching Assistant for almost five years after being made redundant in 2005 from my post as an HR manager following a merger. Family links with the education sector include a wife who is a Maths Teacher in a local secondary school, a brother who is a Deputy Head in an urban secondary school and a sister who is a college lecturer. At various time I have also held Governor posts at both Primary and Secondary schools.
