Supporting a Village with a Phone Call

Another brilliant example of a Fellow supporting his local community ... and a simple way that we can help!

Fellow Dave Briggs lives in Cottenham and is trying to help an appeal to get as many people as possible to vote for a grant through People's Millions.

Cottenham Community Centre is trying to raise £50,000 to help convert the old Methodist Chapel in the village into a thriving… Continue

Facilitating Specialist Networks?

Many Fellows like the diversity of the RSA network ... it is completely unique in that way. Fellows have also frequently expressed that they would like to be able to find Fellows working in a similar area for discussion, support and collectively progressing new ideas.

By way of an example, the picture above shows the work of two Fellows working as artists and crafts people. Left is a Fish Monotype by printmaker… Continue

Sitting on the sideline (for a change!)

Some general thoughts - (though not really off-topic)

Is there an art (rather than a science) to creating healthy, vibrant networks?

Ever since I joined the RSA I have been listening to Fellows talk about the Fellowship network.... the potential and promise of fully networked RSA makes everyone who talks about this really excited!

But it isn't easy and I have been thinking, like lots of others, about this a great deal lately.

So, I was really inspired to read this blogpost and discussion by… Continue

Grow Your Own Cows

I was talking to another Fellow over the weekend about the number of authors and books that have been produced within the Fellowship... and continue to publish almost daily it seems.

Looking at those people I know on this site alone I notice we have:

Social by Social published recently by Andy Gibson,… Continue

Their first pilot starts soon and is to get 20 schools online in South Africa, in collaboration with the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. Geoff is raising funds at the moment to send the first batch of laptops.

Geoff founded… Continue
