Fellowship Council Elections 2011 - Reminder

Just a quick reminder to Fellows that the current nomination period for the vacancies on the Fellowship Council closes next Monday, 8th August, at noon.

The Fellowship Council is an important body within the RSA, acting as an advisory and representative forum for Fellows.  Established in 2009, the Council has worked to ensure that there is an effective working relationship between the RSA and its Fellowship, alongside supporting and promoting the work of the Society.  It is a multi-disciplinary body reflecting the diversity and breadth of Fellows in the Society.

Existing Fellowship Councillors have agreed a one year extension to their current term in order to incorporate the outcome of the ongoing RSA Governance Advisory Group, however some Councillors have chosen to stand down at this time.  This means that there will be Council Member vacancies across several regions including East Midlands, London, North East, South East, West, West Midlands and Yorkshire

Council Nominations are open until noon Monday 8 August 2011 with elections taking place from the end of August through to September. If you are interested in standing for the Fellowship Council a full Council Nomination Pack can be downloaded online  or by post upon request).  If you wish to discuss your nomination please email or call +44(0)20 7451 6826.  The election process itself will be managed by Electoral Reform Services

This is an exciting opportunity for Fellows to become involved in the working of the RSA, to contribute to its development and to represent their fellow Fellows.
