Informing the future of the RSA Environment Awards Forum

There is a real buzz around the office right now about the forthcoming AGM. It feels like this is the moment that many have been waiting for and I can't wait to see how the days turns out.

The Projects department are running a series of seminars in the DSA as I'm sure you're aware, focussing on a range of subjects related to existing projects. Additionally I will be running a workshop based around the RSA Environment Awards Forum.

This year is the tenth anniversary of what is one of the leading examples of a Fellow initiated and Fellow led initiative. The administration of the Forum was brought in-house earlier this year and over the last few months have been conducting a broad review of its achievements and its current role in the sector. We are now ready to take this to the next stage but we want it to continue to be something that is designed and developed by Fellows and with Fellows.

What is the RSA Environment Awards Forum?
What is the Accreditation Scheme?

The main body of the workshop will be held between 10 - 12 in the Benjamin Franklin Room. In these 2 hours I want to squeeze as much out of the participants as possible, get their thoughts about what the Forum could and should do, where the gaps are, and determine the possibilities for the future.

This is an exciting opportunity to work together, FRSA with FRSA and RSA with FRSA. We do have limited seating but if you would like to come along and join the discussion then please contact me and let me know.

Hi Joe, I will be synthesising Wednesday's discussion into a consultation paper that will be circulated to interested Fellows and wider parties in the coming weeks. This will give Fellows the opportunity to feed into the development of the Forum and so get involved. Once the Fellows and the Forum have agreed on the direction it will be clearer how you might be able to get involved in other ways. If you would like to be included in the circulation list please send your details to accreditation@rsa.org.uk. Many thanks, Rebecca

Review of RSA Fellowship nings, social networks

Over the next few months the RSAde Group will be consolidating regional social networks and nings. The aim will be to improve connectivity for Fellows, improve communication and reduce fragmentation.

Therefore there will be an increase of regional and thematic groups over the next few months.

If you would like further information on these changes please contact the RSAde team via the Digital Engagement group on this network.

NHS at 65: rejuvenate or retire?

The NHS turns 65 this year at a time of significant change and unprecedented financial challenge. The RSA and the Nuffield Trust bring together panel of influential thinkers from the health sector and beyond to debate whether it is time for the NHS to be retired off or whether there is scope for reinvention.
