What of our trans-generational futures?
My particular love of the Boomer generation is its [our] tendency to conform and not ask. Those who conformed and did not ask did not stand out. Our leaders/persnalities stood out by asking and not-conforming, thus they became what they wanted to become
This succeeding has been relatively easy until IT kicked-in. Our later gen's {GenX, GenY, Millennials, etc.) have learnt...not only how to stand out and how to ask, and why they must ask, 'Why?'' in order to stand out, but to stand out EVER further - cf Gaga, Palin, Dawkins, Mandella, et seq. In our media-driven world, to get on the World-Stage, the 'Outlier' - the 'StandOut' - has it. This is an exciting world with huge quantities of human potential lying latent, undisturbed....
Predictions:
1. I, as a non-conforming boomer, shall continue to explore HTML5, GSIN (global satellite instant networking) and my new passion, training in virtual learning, planet-saving, environments from my individual place as a standout.
2. The race/challenge to 'standout' will accelerate and become more challenging* - with brilliantly stunning consequences for humanity with some courageous personalities daring all - many as ethical leaders. Teachers, leave these 'standout' kids alone!! Let them become what they can become (as long as they hurt no one?).
*because the crowd is getting bigger - global, networked and growing to 9bn population as well!
3. The 'leave-me-alones', (those who do not wish to stand out or who wish to stand out but fail) will remain as always, but will become ever-more insular - seeking to enjoy their social/family islands ethical or not, undistracted with politics, communities or wider social integration.

Review of RSA Fellowship nings, social networks
Over the next few months the RSAde Group will be consolidating regional social networks and nings. The aim will be to improve connectivity for Fellows, improve communication and reduce fragmentation.
Therefore there will be an increase of regional and thematic groups over the next few months.
