I should have popped this up to you before: We've been kicking off a project in Bristol City Council and have scheduled a discussion at the RSA Bristol network on Monday early evening that relates directly to this topic and to the…"
"As someone who has only just found access to the Bristol group and would very much like to be involved, I would welcome this imitative, especially as the days of the roneo are now in the dark ages ( and sadly I do remember some pink correcting type…"
"on the "Connected Communities through digital inclusion" front I would suggest that we consider inviting (amongst others) my colleagues:
Stephen Hilton - /www.connectingbristol.org
and possibly Di Robinson - who has overall…"
"I can make the 4th if advised the session is on - who decides that?!?!?
I have to agree that we need to be more structured: its more than double the effort to not have any process, and its confusing for us and for Chris.
"I aslo think there is potential in building on what Fof I and CofI bring to us, rather than setting up something 'competing' in similar group - we could work with these 'institutions adn other educational /networking bodies to…"
"I've just made some commments on this Sara and they've disappeared as well!
I take it personally:
just like when I was young and the grown ups were talking?
or is it that I just can't do these things!!
I missed this, and have been substantially out of action, but have picked up your reminder!
Simon was keen to provide some time into this project as was Cecile and she had a friend who is interested, I met them…"
"Tessy I'm part of something simliar called justfortheloveofit - a platform for "Freeconomy". Definitely a bit alternative, I dare say I'm a little out of the main profile so not at all sure that it'd work for most of…"
"Quite right Joan,
I hope that we can do thet here - it could be like a mind map which we put potential alliances and ('competitive ideas' onto so we don't wind ourselves and eachother up to do things that are unclear on value…"
I have worked for Bristol C.C. since 1999 coordinating a programme expanding the impact of the third sector in the Bristol area and has recently led a sub-regional partnership on a EU wide pilot project aimed at “Promoting the Competitiveness, Confidence and Credibility” of 3rd sector enterprises “C3 Partnership”. I am now involved in developing stronger business relations with major investors and local businesses, enterprise support products and strategy .
Previously I was a County Councillor with a strong interest in equalities and was later employed as the Director of Bristol Community Transport, developing a substantial trading base. I also helped lead the development and growth of City Academy, Bristol; Easton Community Nursery; VOSCUR - Bristol’s CVS; Social Enterprise Works; the Bristol Regeneration Partnership etc. I am on the Board of Creating Excellence (a practitioner focussed body aiming to improve places and communities), and active in a wide range of local initiatives - including the RSA in the Bristol area.
There is more about me on my LinkedIn Profile - I hope its easy to find!

Any ideas for how we can get the rest of the Bristol fellows signed up to the network so that it can actually be used to galvanise/organise/socialise? Only 13 members so far. Could Chris L send out another reminder email (and tell them not to be put off by the fact they have to join the wider network first - it doesn't hurt!)
